The "city of Florence" lands in Monte Carlo
The city of Florence will “disembark” in Monte Carlo on 14 October for an unforgettable event combining elegance and solidarity. Precious few other details are known about the evening.
Prominent Florentine figures from the worlds of business, nobility and many others are being sent invitations as we speak, and everyone is fishing for an invitation to take part in what is set to be THE gala event of the year.
The event in question is the second edition of the very same Ballo del Giglio, which, last 15 October, assembled in the prestigious Salone dei Cinquecento the most important figures of the capitals of Tuscany and the Principality. The evening, inspired by the famous Monte Carlo Rose Ball, included Her Royal Highness Caroline of Hanover, and succeeded in raising funds for the creation of a charity fund for the Associazione AMADE Italia, which is devoted to safeguarding children’s rights, and for funding the restoration of the statue of Hermes, in Palazzo Vecchio.
This year, the event, which combines worldliness and solidarity, will again be held in the stunning setting of Monte Carlo. It will be organised by the Honorary Consulate of the Principality of Monaco in Florence and Enic meetings & events. Once again, art will be the event’s unrivalled protagonist, highlighting the important artistic heritage of the city of Florence.
A large portion of the event will be devoted to the economic and entrepreneurial aspects of the city, dedicating some space to the creation of business opportunities for quintessential Florentine brands in the Principality’s capital. There’s more besides: the soirée will include several multi-faceted events, culminating in the most evocative and spectacular of them all, thanks in part to its fairytale setting: the Rose Ball.
