Nipozzano: Best Of 2011
For 2011 the prestigious American "Wine Enthusiast Magazine" chose Nipozzano Riserva 2007 by Marchesi di Frescobaldi as the wine of the year.
The wine made from the grapes of the estate around the lovely Nipozzano Castle, in the municipality of Pelago, has long since been hailed as a top-quality product by connoisseurs and this award confirms it once more, establishing the wine on an international level.
To point out the importance of the result by Nipozzano Riserva 2007, here are the figures: to choose the World's Top 100, the experts of "Wine Enthusiast Magazine" actually evaluated 16,000 wines.

Price, drinkability and uniqueness were among the evaluation criteria.
Nipozzano was awarded first place because of its "generosity and personality".
"I can do none other than express my real pleasure at the top results achieved by the wines made in our area," said Renzo Zucchini, the Mayor of Pelago.
"Congratulations to Marchesi di Frescobaldi and to everyone who helped to make Nipozzano Riserva 2007."
