In the middle of Northern Tuscany there is a recent provincial capital. It goes from the woods of Valbisenzio – at the border with Emilia Romagna – to the sweet hills of Montalbano. The town is famous for its fabric industry, but it offers also Etruscan finds, Romanesque churches, Medicean residences, parks and a karstic massif full of charm, the Calvana, on the right bank of Bisenzio river.
