It is one the most renowned towns of Italy which for ages benefited from autonomy. It is represented by its walls; but also the Cathedral and Piazza dell’Anfiteatro are masterpieces. Town of music, Lucca gave birth to Luigi Boccherini and Giacomo Puccini. Garfagnana is the most mountainous region of this area; on the plain area there are the famous residences of Lucca, and, to top it all, there is one of the most famous Italian coasts, Versilia.
